Girls Rock Vermont!

We’re currently recruiting volunteers for our two summer programs, and also 2 more people for our year-round volunteer staff.

If you’re a musician or simply a fan of empowering girls in Vermont, and you have some free time this summer to help out, head on over to our volunteer description page to see where your skills can be best put to use! Some positions pay a small stipend for the week of camp.

We’re also looking for an Outreach Coordinator and a Volunteer Coordinator to help us out year-round. Learn more here!

Registration is now open for the Morrisville camp! We have partnered up with the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains for this camp, and they will be handling registrations. Please note that the Morrisville camp is limited to girls ages 10-15.

Camp is limited to 25 participants, and we expect it will fill up quite quickly. The Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains will handle the registration for Morrisvile, and more information will be available soon.

Winooski Middle School (Winooski, VT): July 22-27 (Monday-Saturday)

River Arts (Morrisville, VT): August 5-9 (Monday-Friday)

We’re currently planning for Girls Rock Vermont 2013. We are excited to announce that we will have TWO sessions this summer, one in the Burlington area, and one in Morrisville. We’ve teamed up with River Arts and the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains for our Morrisville camp, which is scheduled to take place the week of August 5th. Burlington dates to be announced soon. 

Camper applications should be available by February 15th. Check back soon for more details. We can’t wait for another summer of camp! 

Our second round of the Rock Lotto is scheduled for Saturday, February 2, 2012 at Club Metronome in Burlington.

If you missed out on our first Rock Lotto, it’s a unique, collaborative, improvisational, band-in-a-day music extravaganza. 25 musicians meet up at 10AM. We place them randomly into bands. They have that day to come up with a 4-song set, and return to Club Metronome that night to perform. It can get weird, awesome, or become a train wreck. This is all part of the fun!

After another successful round of camp, we’re already preparing for GRVT 2013. We’d love to have you on our year-round team, to help with everything from grants to gear. Being a part of Girls Rock Vermont is a great way to network with musicians, make friends, gain nonprofit experience, and give something back to the community.

You do not need to be a female to volunteer, and we welcome volunteers with or without musical abilities.
