Welcome to Christy Liddy, Gina MacKinnon and Andy Hard to the Girls Rock Vermont Board of Directors!! We look forward to working with you this year!!!
Our 2014 Volunteer application is now live! We are currently looking for a group of dedicated volunteers to make camp happen July 21-26 in Winooski.
Instrument instructors, workshop leaders, counselors- if you’ve got a skill you want to share, chances are we need it! Some of our volunteer positions require music experience, but many do not.
Please take a moment to read our volunteer job descriptions before filling out the form. We’re able to be flexible with some jobs, and others require more of a time commitment. However you can help is fantastic, even if it’s just spreading the word.
Tuesday June 17th will be Girls Rock Vermont Night at Centennial Field.
$6 tickets available!!!
Get your tickets by contacting us!!
Save the dates! Camp will be held July 21-26, 2014.
The online application will be available soon!!!!
GRVT is always looking for new board members and also has many opportunities for year round volunteers!! contact Linda at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information,
We are excited to be in our FOURTH year of Girls Rock Vermont. We have a few fun events planned throughout the year. Let us know if you would like to help!!! We also need more board members!!! All are welcome!!!!
This is a spectacle not to be missed!
Saturday June 15th at 5pm Nectar’s will become the arena for Girls Rock Vermont’s first ever all female arm-wrestling tournament~~~
Eight strong-armed women costumed as their wrestler alter-egos will compete in a double elimination style tournament to raise money for our summer camps.
We will also be collecting instrument donations for camp, so feel free to bring down that bass guitar, drum-kit, keyboard or mic that needs a good home! We will gratefully accept them at the event!
Following the tournament there will be a rockin’ set from the Burlington based sci-fi-dance-punk band Wave of the Future ~~~ stick around for the dance party!
It’s not too late to sign up to compete!
You just have to be a brave woman at least 18 years old who isn’t afraid to dress in costume and arm wrestle in front of people! No professional experience necessary, this is all for fun!
If you are interested in competing in our arm-wrestling tournament you just need to email samara(at)girlsrockvermont.org and come up with:
1. an alter ego with a cool name
2. a short fictional bio about your character (have fun with this, it can be a crazy story!)
3. a cool costume to suit your wrestler character
