Our week long summer day camp serves girls and gender non-conforming youth ages 6-18 regardless of musical experience or economic background. During the week, campers will receive instrument instruction (electric ukulele, guitar, bass, drums or keyboards), form a band, write an original song, participate in workshops designed to build self-esteem and encourage self-expression (topics may include ‘zine writing, body image, stage presence, songwriting, bullying), and perform their songs in a public showcase.

Two new Half-day camps!
Jumpstart camp for campers aged 6-8 and Teen Week camp for campers aged 13-18. Both camps take place the week of June 22.
Jumpstart will run from 9am-12noon, Monday thru Friday with a showcase on Friday evening.
Teen Week will run 1-5pm Monday thru Friday with a showcase on Sunday (6/28) afternoon.
Tuition for Jumpstart is $300 per week and for Teen Week is $350.
Traditional Camp Dates: July 13-18, 2020 and August 3-8, 2020
Times: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Mon-Fri; Saturday
11 a.m. meet at Higher Ground for the showcase!

If you change your mind about attending rock camp for any reason, 90% of your paid tuition is refundable until one month before camp. After the deadline, we cannot offer a refund except for emergency situations.
$50 Non-refundable deposit to be applied towards tuition

At camp, you can choose to study electric ukulele, guitar, bass, drums, or keyboards. All campers may sing and attend vocal workshops, but every camper will learn an instrument other than vocals. Please indicate your first, second, third, fourth and fifth choices of instrument on the application. Due to the need to acquire gear in advance, you cannot change your selection after you send in your application and you cannot change during the camp session. Instruments will be provided for use during the camp week. If you have your own instrument, please feel free to bring it. Please note that Girls Rock Vermont does not accept liability for personal instruments.
OUT OF TOWN CAMPERS
If you are coming from out of town and would like more information about the Burlington area, please contact email@example.com. We do not provide lodging or accommodations, and we are unable to give campers any personal information of other participants. We do, however, encourage campers and families to network with their peers.
All campers may participate in the free lunch program through the Burlington School district. All campers are eligible regardless of income. Please let us know on your application if your camper plans to utilize the federal free lunch. Campers are also free to bring their own lunch. GRVT will provide healthy snacks for the girls throughout the day.
