Girls Rock Vermont has bittersweet news: both of our camps this year are full. We stretched our capacity as far as our equipment, space restrictions and volunteer base would allow, but we just can’t accommodate any more campers for 2016. We have 30 campers in each session, which means 60 rockers this year! We’re also proud to say that we’ve been able to provide financial aid for every family that indicated they needed it.
Each year we keep growing, and that’s awesome! Stay tuned for info about next year’s dates, and remember: sign up early! Applications typically go live in January.
If you are looking for some family-friendly fun, consider coming to one of our camper showcases at Higher Ground. They’ll take place July 23 and August 13 at noon.
If you’d like to volunteer at camp, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Wish you had gone to Girls Rock as a kid? Volunteer with us! We are now accepting volunteer applications for two sessions of camp: July and August 2016. We are happy to be able to support local musicians by providing a small stipend for instrument instructors, band coaches and workshop leaders.
Questions or comments? Email Annie Russell.

Another GRVT Rock Lotto is scheduled to take place at Club Metronome in Burlington on Nov. 14, 2015.
Here’s how it works: Local musicians (all gender identities welcome) will meet up at 10AM on Saturday, Nov. 14 at Radio Bean. We’ll randomly place the musicians into bands with folks they’ve (ideally) never played with before. The musicians have that day to come up with a short set, composed of originals and one cover. We’ll all meet back at Metronome at 5PM for load-in. The show is at 6pm and is open to the public for only $5! It’s a glimpse into what campers do at Girls Rock Vermont each year.
Male musicians are more than welcome. We ask that you have some experience with your main instrument, and that you can commit to blocking off the entire Saturday. We also ask for a registration fee of $20 to support the organization. It is an earlier show, so if you have the energy you can certainly play a later gig the same night.
To sign up, please fill out the form, and someone will get back to you shortly to confirm your spot.
We will have one camp week at the Winooski Middle School the week of July 20-25, 2015. We are hoping to add an additional week of camp during the week of Aug. 10-15 at another Chittenden County location that will be announced soon!!! The applications will be available online VERY SOON!!
Welcome to Christy Liddy, Gina MacKinnon and Andy Hard to the Girls Rock Vermont Board of Directors!! We look forward to working with you this year!!!
