Camp will again be held at the beautiful Rock Point School in
Burlington on the shores of Lake Champlain!!
That was great fun!! Happy New Year Everyone!!!
We are thrilled to announce that we are hosting another Rock Lotto!
In the spirit of Girls Rock, this particular event is open only to female-identifying musicians.
Here’s how it works: Participating musicians will meet up at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 22. We’ll randomly place the musicians into bands with folks they’ve (ideally) never played with before. The musicians have that day to come up with a four-song set, composed of three originals and one cover.
We’ll all meet at Light Club Lamp Shop at 6 p.m. for the performance. All proceeds go to Girls Rock Vermont!
We ask that you have some experience with your main instrument, and that you can commit to blocking off the entire Saturday. You do not need to be a professional musician!
To sign up, please fill out the form, and someone will get back to you to confirm your spot.
Girls Rock Vermont has bittersweet news: both of our camps this year are full. We stretched our capacity as far as our equipment, space restrictions and volunteer base would allow, but we just can’t accommodate any more campers for 2016. We have 30 campers in each session, which means 60 rockers this year! We’re also proud to say that we’ve been able to provide financial aid for every family that indicated they needed it.
Each year we keep growing, and that’s awesome! Stay tuned for info about next year’s dates, and remember: sign up early! Applications typically go live in January.
If you are looking for some family-friendly fun, consider coming to one of our camper showcases at Higher Ground. They’ll take place July 23 and August 13 at noon.
